BREAKING: XFL files for bankruptcy. N bankruptcy filing reveals that WWE actually does own part of league (23.5% of Class B stock). Among the creditors — Bob Stoops ($1M), Marc Trestman ($777K), Ticketmaster ($655K), other coaches ($583K) and MetLife Stadium lease ($368K). pic.twitter.com/PRj3CXAnkv
Vince McMahon sold $100 million worth of WWE stock today to fund Alpha Entertainment, which he created, in part, to fund a pro football venture.
Alpha Entertainment filed for 5 trademarks last week to the "XFL."
Draw your own conclusions.
Kenny Robinson almost lost it all:

XFL done. I'd blame drop in WWE stock and uncertain future economy as the culprits. Far more uncertainty about the ability to garner a paying TV deal. One of the biggest stories in hindsight was TNT giving AEW that deal in January.
Framing it as COVID related is the icing on the shit cake. It is XFL going bankrupt. He doesn’t want to eat that loss so he’s cutting WWE employees to compensate.
He lied and said WWE had no part of XFL but of course WWE had about 24% of XFLstock.
He’s an abhorrent dick.
